Becoming the King/Charlie and the Ooters (Out of Towners), is the second part of a forthcoming series.
When Charlie and his mom move to a new city, and he is enrolled into high school, he feels like he has gone from being a big fish in a small pond… a place where everyone knew him, to now being a small fish in a huge pond… lost in the crowd.
Just by happenstance, Charlie recognizes that he may not be the only one to feel this way, and he quickly gets to work on re-establishing his presence and his voice.
Befriending siblings and fellow Ooters, Ronnie and her brother Chris become instrumental in Charlie’s new life. With their help, and a few new mentors along the way, Charlie begins to take on new tasks that propel him to higher levels of understanding and of personal power.
This coming of age story will help young teenage kids, boys and girls alike, to find answers that most educators today avoid teaching. If you read and like Becoming the King part 1, then join Charlie on his new adventure in high school where his real questions will surely help build him into a mature adult.
